ST2 paper Fig 6Congratulations to Tyler Lovelace for the acceptance of his Crit Care Med paper , which is entitled “Plasma Levels of Soluble Suppression of Tumorigenicity-2 (sST2) Reflect Extra-Pulmonary Organ Dysfunction and Predict Outcome in Acute Respiratory Failure”.Photo of Tyler Lovelace

This paper investigates the prognostic value of soluble suppression of tumorigenicity (sST2) protein in blood and lung for respiratory variables, organ dysfunction, and subphenotypes in acute respiratory failure (ARF). In the initial analyses that Tyler performed using causal graphs, he identified sST2 to have a direct effect in ARF mortality, which led to more detailed investigation.

Congratulations Tyler for another great publication!
