Both Kristina and Vineet will soon leave the lab to make the next step in their careers. Vineet is leaving on July 1st to pursue postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Kristina starts her postdoc at Columbia on August 1st.
During their PhD years, Kristina developed ssNPA, a new algorithm for characterization of single samples based on gene network perturbations; and Vineet developed and tested many algorithms that pushed the boundaries of causal modeling with mixed data types. They both applied their methods in disease datasets and made breakthroughs in lung cancer and COPD.
We wish them the best in their careers and we are sure we will hear about them soon!
