Dr. Grace T Huang, an alumnus of the lab gave an inspiring interview for the Women Data Leaders project, which is supported by the KDD Impact Program and JetBrains. The aim of the project is to present female role models in order to increase gender diversity and women’s participation in Data Science. This is a great achievement.
Grace received her PhD from the CPCB program in 2013 and she is currently working for Pinterest as Data Science Manager. During her graduate work, she developed new algorithms for partitioning omics data with applications to cancer and identifying clusters of features predictive of disease status. Her work was included in five publications (three as first author).
